The Staff Selection Commission released the tentative answer key and invited the representation from the candidates against the incorrect questions and answers as mentioned in the question paper or answer key. SSC MTS Age Limit
August 1, 2025, was the SSC MTS Havaldar age cutoff date. The SSC also changed the minimum age requirement for the Havaldar position. The Havaldar position now has a 27-year-old age limit restriction.
Age Requirement for SSC MTS and Havaldar (i) Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 25 (i.e., born on or after August 02, 2000, and August 01, 2007) to be eligible for MTS.
Age Requirement for Havaldar (ii) Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 27 (i.e., born between 02-06-1998 and 01-08-2007) to be considered for Havaldar positions in the Department of Revenue’s CBIC and CBN, as well as a few MTS positions.

SSC MTS and Havaldar Eligibility – Exemptions Provided to PwD in the PET/PST
SSC will conduct the PET/PST exam for the Havaldar posts. SSC will provide exemptions to the candidates belonging to different categories as mentioned below:

SSC MTS and Havaldar – Nationality Requirement
The candidates must be a
- Citizen of India or a person of Indian Origin
- The subject of Nepal/Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC MTS and Havaldar – Qualifications Required
The candidate must have passed the Matriculation exam from any recognised board/institution. The candidates appearing in their matriculation exam can fill out the application form, but their final result must be declared before the said date otherwise they will not be considered eligible for the exam. It implies that the candidate must have passed Matriculation on the last date of SSC MTS application.
